Reading notes, page by page.
Record impressions, insights and trivia by ISBN and page number. Private by default; publish later if you like.
For e-books like Kindle where the ISBN is unknown, search by title. Textbook pages change by edition, so check each candidate’s edition/year before choosing.
Try Live mode
Everyone’s reactions flow across the page like Niconico comments. Support great readers with tips. You can also note moments in videos.
Sound familiar?
- You find that the sample code in a tech book doesn’t work — but there’s nowhere to write that down.
- You want to study a textbook or workbook together, but different editions mean the page numbers don’t line up.
- With a long conference video, you can’t tell “where the main point is” until you’ve watched it.
- Looking at slides alone, the premise and context behind that one slide don’t come across.
Daiko-dokusho solves every one of these — leave a note right on that exact page or scene.
Reading notes where reactions meet on the same page
Leave your thoughts, trivia, and realizations on that exact page, scene, or speech — in a book, video, slide deck, social post, or parliamentary record. People who open the same spot naturally meet each other’s reactions.
When to use it
- Capture a line that hit you
Leave a private memo on the page of a book that stayed with you — for your eyes only at first.
- Read reactions on the same page
See what others felt on that very page. Read together, page by page.
- Talk about a favorite scene
Point to a timestamp or page number of a video, slide, or anime you love, and talk about it.
- Annotate parliamentary records
Ten countries and twenty US state legislatures are supported, starting with Japan’s Diet. Pin a note to “the 9th speech in Committee on Foreign Affairs and Defence, House of Councillors, session 221, no. 16.” Speech numbers never drift between editions.
- Support great readers
Send a tip to say “thank you” to a note or commentary that moved you.
How it works (3 steps)
- 1. Find
Register a book by ISBN or title; a video / slide / anime by URL.
- 2. Open
Open a “page” of the book, or a “scene” (elapsed time) of the video.
- 3. Leave a note
Write your thoughts. Private by default; make it limited or fully public later.
Ways to share the feeling
Keep your reactions to yourself, or layer them with everyone else’s.
- Public notes
Reactions gather on the same page. The more people read together, the richer that page becomes.
- Live mode
Reactions for that page flow across the screen, like a comment stream.
- Emoji reactions
Say “I feel that” in one tap — the feeling gets through without words.
Earning as a creator
The review and commentary themselves become support.
- Get supported by tips
Readers can tip notes and commentary that move them.
- You keep the full tip
The full amount of each tip is yours — the sender already paid the service fee when buying points. Verify your identity in Payout settings and we pay on the 15th, for the month that closed.
- Start anonymously
Compete on review skill alone, anonymously. As support gathers, it turns into revenue.
Tips are sent with points bought in advance: 100–10,000 pt each, up to 20,000 pt per month. A single 10% fee (plus tax) is charged when points are bought, never on the tip. We close each month on the last day and pay creators from our own funds on the 15th of the next month — money never passes directly between users (balances under ¥3,000 carry over; a ¥450 transfer fee applies).

- 質とスピード(AWS Dev Day 2023 Tokyo 特別編) ・ Slide 1
Slide 1
Very good. Though it does differ from person to person — those with large memory, those who can keep at it continuously, those who can supplement both from outside, and those who can't. It also comes down to how much you can hold in non-volatile form. People call that enthusiasm. And I suspect the substance of internal quality has itself shifted with the use of AI.
